An individual connected to a series of criminal offenses, including murders, has actually been detained by the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
According to authorities, the suspect was detained yesterday (07) in Kalmunai and existed to the Thirukkovil Police Station.The arrest was made as part of an investigation performed by the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Unit of the CID, targeting individuals associated with criminal activities such as murders, abductions, enforced disappearances, use of firearms, operation of torture chambers and extortion, allegedly performed by an armed group in the Batticaloa District in 2007 and 2008.
